I Want to Stop Smoking
Smoking is one of the biggest reasons for heart, liver, lung and various other diseases worldwide. But still more and more people are beginning to smoke every year. Many times people say that “I Want to Stop Smoking but the craving is Irresistible”. One of the main reasons for cigarettes being such an addiction is the presence of nicotine in it. Smoking is a habit The first cigarette that a person smokes is an unpleasant experience, however as with riding a bike, it gets easier and soon becomes a habit. Most stop-smoking programs work at increasing the individual’s strength to resist the desire to smoke. They rely on willpower, and as willpower fluctuates like moods and emotions, one day it may be strong, the next day it may be weak. The detrimental effect of smoking on a person’s health is now public knowledge, and for this reason many smokers are now looking for ways to quit. Smokers will tell you that they ‘enjoy smoking’ but in the same breath will probably say that they hate the smell and want to give up anyway. It has been found that people smoke for one of two reasons. Firstly that they are identifying with a peer who smokes and secondly as a replacement for something e.g. eating or affection.
Stop Smoking Hypnosis
Smoking is a physical craving for nicotine – and to stop smoking means you need to deal with the problem as a psychological issue. Any hypnosis sessions to quit smoking involve suggestions, positive affirmations, and hypnotherapy techniques to help you give up smoking as they put you into an altered state where you are much more susceptible to suggestions. The positive thoughts are burnt into the smoker’s mind during the session that the smoker has with the hypnotherapist. A sense of disconnection from your present surroundings is a hypnotic trance, if you feel that you are awake and alert. People are said to be in a sense of increased attentiveness, and things can take root more easily – such as the suggestions to stop smoking.
